Account reviews in hours, in the hands of its clients.
At IMPP, the account review — category management's central deliverable — is produced by an Agent from the firm's own structure and sources, across a whole store network. The partners keep the analysis, the recommendation and the client relationship.
Hoursinstead of weeks, across the whole network.
In brief.
What the firm handed over, in what form, and what it changed.
Team
IMPP partners and consultants.
Work handed over
The account review: assortment, merchandising, promotion and price, compared against national figures, with a sourced recommendation.
Sources
The firm's document bases, trade press, retailer data, the client's own spreadsheets.
Trigger
Per engagement, by a partner. Delivered as a PDF, a deck and an interactive version.
The work,before.
An account review is an expert's read on how a brand is treated by a retailer.
Assortment, merchandising, promotion, price: every lever is read store by store, compared against national figures, set against the retailer's strategy. It takes panels, document bases, field surveys, and years in the trade to know what to look at.
It is also weeks of a senior consultant's work for a single review. The client receives it once the shelf has already changed, and the firm can only produce so many a year.
With Ubby.
From the engagement set out to the report ready to review.
The structure is the firm's own.
Hugues gave the Agent IMPP's exact review outline, section by section, and the document bases to consult. The Agent does not reinvent the method: it applies it.
Every paragraph cites its source.
A requirement set on the first round of feedback: no claim without a reference. Price is analysed per item, assortment compared against national figures, the recommendation backed by facts the partner can check.
Published on the Marketplace: “Revue d'Enseigne by IMPP”.
The first versions missed things; the partner annotated them the way he would a junior's work, and the Agent was corrected. It is now a named, installable Agent that starts from one sentence and reads a whole engagement's documentation.
Category review — North network
Draft the category review for the North network: assortment, merchandising, promotion and price, against the national benchmark.
Thought for 34 seconds
I applied the IMPP review plan to the 42 stores of the North network, from the firm's document bases and the retailer's own files. Assortment is 6 points behind on savoury grocery and three national references are missing from the shelf. Every claim cites its source; the recommendation is ready to review.

What it changesin the job.
Once the Agent was right, IMPP's question stopped being “how long until the next review?” and became “can an industrial client call the IMPP Agent from their own workspace, and who keeps it current?” The firm's know-how becomes a capability its clients use.
“Hugues runs retail brand audits in hours instead of weeks, across the whole store network.”
A review that took weeks is delivered in hours, across the whole network. The client acts on findings that are still fresh; the firm can follow a retailer over time rather than photograph it once a year.
The partners hand the same Agents the reformatting of decks to the IMPP template, study summaries and the upkeep of the client base.
